How do I get started?
Contact me to set up a brief initial appointment, which can be done either over the phone or in person, at no cost. The therapist-client relationship is the most important part of therapy so I encourage you to “interview” me, ask questions and gather information to make an informed decision as to whether you feel we could work together.
What can I expect from therapy?
Therapy is a safe and confidential place to freely express your concerns and be heard. It is a cooperative effort between the therapist and client. I provide guidance, support and encouragement in a respectful and non-judgmental manner. I will work with you to set realistic short and long term goals. I will help you identify your strengths as well as “roadblocks” or thought and behavior patterns that are impeding your life. In addition, I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities including play therapy for children.
How long will therapy last?
Each session lasts about 50 minutes. The length of therapy is variable. Therapy can be a few sessions or long term depending on the complexity of the therapeutic issues.
What type of payment is accepted?
I accept cash, check, credit card, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle and a few insurance plans. If I do not accept your insurance plan your insurer may reimburse you for a percentage of my fees as an “out of network provider”.
